other words, if people see your ads and click on them, you will pay Google
less for your ads. If people see your ads and don't click on them, Google

Dump the Dross.
Once you have identified that one version of your ad
doesn't work as well as the other version, get rid of it. Now make the
stronger ad your baseline and run another ad against it to see which is the

experts say that 50 clicks may be enough but 100 clicks is better. A larger

Google Adwords conversion tracking works by placing a

discover which portions of your ad campaign are working. Your ROI can be

Run your adverts on the Google Search Network only.

You really don't want your searches showing up on just

Use Your Keywords in Your Advert
The keywords that are used to search Google show up in
"bold" print on the search results including Adwords adverts. You should,
therefore make sure that your keywords are in your ad text.
Go ahead and do a keyword search on Google. Where do
your eyes go to? They naturally go to the bold words in the text. Guess
which ads are most likely to get clicked?

Effective, Concise and Descriptive
Google only allows you to have 25 characters in the
title of your advert and two lines of text each 35 characters in length. The title line is the first aspect of your Google
advert that a potential visitor to your site will see. It is the title
line's job to catch the attention of this visitor all in 25 characters.
Start by typing what you think of as a good descriptive advert which
includes your keyword or search phrase into a word processor. Past
experience show that if you are offering a cut price or good value item then
listing the price increases click through. For example if you are
selling green widgets your advert might read:
"We sell the best rated, lowest cost Green Widgets for
under $100".
Now you need to trim your advert title line to 25
characters. First get rid of the un-necessary words. The advert now
reads:
"Best low cost Green Widgets - under $100".
Better but still too long. If you are selling them under $100 people
can see they are low cost and if they have searched for green widgets then
widgets for $100 should suffice:
"Best Widgets under $100" or if you really want Green
widgets
"Best Green Widgets $99". The rest of the
description can be contained in the other two lines of 35 characters.

Combine your Adword with Adsense
To off-set some of the costs of your Google
Adwords campaign sign up for the Google Adsense program and display Google
adverts on your site. If someone comes to your site looking for
something but you do not have quite what they require, if you have Google
adverts displaying on your site chances are that they will try clicking an
advert to find it. That visitor was not a wasted visitor. They
